3rd March	Parish Council issues commemorative Millennium mugs to all pupils at the local primary school.
March	Barclays Bank close village branch. Village left without a bank. Post Office comes into its own.
1st July	Millennium Quilt open to view at St Mary's Church Fete. Quilt becomes a permanent feature in the church.
22nd July	Bingham Quartet perform in St Mary's. Stephen and Brenda Bingham have lived in Feltwell for nearly 2 years.
9th October	Members of the Suffolk Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament gathered outside the main gate at RAF Feltwell for a three-hour protest. (This a fairly regular occurrence)

19th Jan	The Millennium Feltwell website received its worldwide premier(!) at the Feltwell Historical and Archaeological Society's Annual General Meeting in Feltwell school library.
August	Work begins on much needed repairs to St Mary's Tower.
5th November	The Mayor of KLWN visits Feltwell for the first time in living memory.

February	Shaun Greatbach wins Dutch Open darts competition; becomes third person ever to achieve a 9 dart finish live on television. Large article in the EDP about the Feltwell Museum and A&H Society.
March	Scaffolding removed from St Mary's Tower following repairs. New clock face installed together with extensive work both inside and out.
March	Feltwell & District Trefoil Guild forms.

January	Overflow car park at Doctors' Surgery built by Parish Council. Ann Brooks (nee Baker) becomes Norfolk County Commissioner for Girl Guiding.
18th September	Mrs Gladys Baxter celebrates her 100 birthday.
8th November	75 Squadron War Memorial unveiled by the High Commissioner for New Zealand. Photographs

New Bell delivered to St Mary's Church in memory of Harold G. Doughty, 1918-2002, by his widow. Photograph

15th January	Quiz Night, held in aid of the Asian Tsunami disaster, raises Ł572.25p
7th May	VE Day concert held in Methodist Hall.
8th May	75(NZ) Squadron Memorial Service held to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. Many New Zealanders attended.
August	Barrie Reeves retires as caretaker at Feltwell School after 23 years.
August	Glass hall wall at Feltwell School replaced by brick. Mural of Sir Edmund De Moundeford in the hall painted over.
September	www.feltwell.org launched.
1st September	Dispensary opens at Feltwell Surgery.
31st October	Dr Ian Nisbet retires after 28 years as a doctor in Feltwell. Mrs Deannie Nisbet retires as Practice Manger.
1st November	Dr Michael Pullen joins Drs Mike Hughes and Giselle Sagar. Mrs Sharon Wilson joins as Practice Manger from a Surgery in Stirling.

3rd Feb	Miss Alice Baker has her 100th birthday.
August	Mrs J. Leveridge retires as Deputy Headteacher after 39 years at Feltwell Primary School.
2nd September	Chrissie Wellington (29) becomes World Amateur Triathlon Champion in Switzerland.

January	Former Parish Council Chairman and local farmer Mr Edwin Porter died. Obit from EDP
22nd February	Opening of "The Fish Piper" Fish & Chip Shop in Feltwell. It has taken over the old Greengrocer's premises in the village.
March	Parish Council gets email.
April	Upcher Road opens.
May	PFL (Proper Feltwell Lot) youth group forms with intention of raising finance to build a Skate Park in Feltwell.
August	Karen Pullen, of Feltwell, wins the first heat of West Norfolk Has Talent.
August	A report, made public under the Freedom of Information Act, revealed that Feltwell was amongst 537 sites considered as possible areas for disposing of nuclear waste in the 1980s. Thankfully it was dropped at the very first stage.
August	New play equipment installed on playing field.
August	PFL receives grant aid from NCC Youth Fund for a youth shelter to be located on the playing field.
